	Pomo The Pomo Language is part of the Hokan Language Family. The Pomo had different kinds of relationship possibilities: polygyny, polyandry, sororate, child betrothal. The boy's family presented gifts to the girl's family. If they accepted him, they took him in and he became a part of the wife's family for one month. After that month, the couple went to live with his family. There was no formal marriage ceremony and no formal courtship.
